Jefferson Davis Dailey, 63, of Freeport, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Oct. 06, 2017.
Jefferson was born in Polk County, Fla., to Edith Lucile Cottrill and Bernard Alonzo Dailey on June, 05, 1954. Jefferson was raised by his mother and stepfather, Henry Nelson and traveled around the country as a future soldier. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1972. Jefferson joined the Army and served four years at Fort Benning in Georgia. He later served in the Seabee Reserves. In 1980, Jefferson began work at Eglin Airforce Base and served for 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Jefferson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gail Pulkowski; three children, Sonya Pulkowski McNeil and husband Eddie of Bonifay, Dustin Dailey and wife Janel of Tallahassee, and Megan Dailey of Freeport; three grandchildren Gabriel McNeil, Duncan McNeil, and Della Dailey; and two siblings, Lonnie Dailey and wife Mary, and Patti O’Brien and husband Jerry.
At Jefferson’s request, no services will be held. The family is grateful for condolences, but prefers that instead of flowers or donations, you spend a day with your family sharing wonderful memories.
