Harry Arthur Davis, age 72 of DeFuniak Springs, was surrounded by family when he passed on Aug. 3, 2017 after a long struggle with cancer in the peace of his own home. Harry was born Dec. 14, 1944 to Paul Teed Davis and Nomia Osmond Davis in Pensacola. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Harry was a member of Jacksonville Lodge # 20 F&AM, Panama City Scottish Rite and the Hadji Shrine Temple in Pensacola. He had many hobbies including traveling, remodeling old boats, organizing pageants, participating in “Farm Day”, going to auctions and was active in the Jaycees in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Harry is survived by the love of his life for 52 years, Donna. He is also survived by his son: Paul and wife Lisa, daughter Angela and husband James, three granddaughters; Jennifer, Michelle, Emily and husband Austin, one grandson; Harry A.K.A. Bubba, two great granddaughters; Scarlett and Blaire and an expected great grandson, sister; Lelice Newcomb and husband Wendell and his nephews; Tom and Kenny. Visitation for Harry will be from 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. Thursday Aug. 10, 2017 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola under the direction of Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel of Pensacola. Donations can be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or to his favorite local DeFuniak Springs event, Farm Day, in honor of Harry. Flowers will be accepted.
