Albin Edward Schottroff

Albin Edward Schottroff, age 86, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., passed
away Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at his residence with his son Bob and Joyce
Scott, his life partner for the past 12 years, by his side. He was
born in Gaedheim, Germany June 18, 1931 and came to the United States
when he was 20 years old. Albin joined the Army where he spent the
next 13 years as a diver and cryptologic technician. After the
military, he was an employee with Mosler Safe Company for 28 years
working with banking institutions installing vaults, security systems
and other electrical devices. Following retirement, he was happy to
live and work on his farm. He had been a resident of Walton County
since 1951.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Schottroff; his parents,
Lukas and Mina Schottroff; and his step-daughter, Susan Holden.

Albin is survived by his son, Bob E. Schottroff; life partner, Joyce
Scott; step-daughter, Rosemary Scaringe; son-in-law, Leroy Holden; 10
grandchildren, Abbie and Trevor Schottroff, Chris and Wendi Holden,
Ron and LeeAnn Wallace, Isaac and Ashley Holden, Randall and Connie
Holden; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, Izzy, Ryker, Kaiser,
Paisley, Brantlee and Susan Holden and Jaden and Ronda Wallace.
