This past Saturday, the Freeport Veterans Memorial held its third annual Golf Tournament fundraiser at the Eagle Springs Golf Course in DeFuniak Springs. Proceeds will go towards two additions to the memorial grounds located at Casey Park next to the Freeport City Hall. The Freedom Flame, an eternal flame with a waterfall backdrop, and a memorial the Grace Project, which is a memorial tribute to women in service. The fundraiser tournament had 29 four-member teams signed up to participate and raised roughly $30,000 for the memorials.
