U.S. 98 pedestrian underpass public meeting scheduled

From FDOT

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting concerning a proposed pedestrian underpass on U.S. 98 at the intersection of County Road (C.R.) 30A Tuesday, April 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CDT at the Camp Helen State Park Lodge, 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway.

The meeting is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to review the design and to provide input on proposed improvements.  The intent of this project is to construct a lighted pedestrian underpass on the east side of the U.S. 98 and C.R. 30A intersection.  Right-of-way acquisition is funded.  However, construction is not funded in the current FDOT Five-Year Work Program.

Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display.  FDOT representatives will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments.

This meeting is being held without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.  Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Kevin Fussell, P.E., Project Manager, at toll-free (888) 638-0250, extension 1456 or via email at kevin.fussell@dot.state.fl.us at least seven days prior to the meeting.
