This past Sunday, residents and visitors of south Walton’s Grayton Beach and 30-A area, also known to many as the “Bubble,” came out to support the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement.  Jalen Jones, co-organizer of the event (and of last week’s in DeFuniak Springs) expressed to the crowd the purpose for gathering, stating “We have to be intentional; we are here because we are tired; but we have to do it in love.” Jones continued, highlighting the stories and deaths of Trayvon Martin (2012), Eric Garner (2014), Ahmaud Arbery (2020),  Breonna Taylor (2020), and George Floyd (2020).

Jones encouraged all to in faith and the call to God for peace and strength to navigate these trying times. The crown gathered at the Seaside shuttle hub and marched down County Road 283 to the Grayton Beach public access.
