HUGH ADAMS ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

This project consists of the demolishing of the existing storm water pipes, fill material, curbing, asphalt/base and concrete flume to install two (2) new 14” x 23” ERCP with new concrete curbing, concrete flumes, MES, new roadway base and asphalt. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labor to complete the project.

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Preble-Rish, Inc., 877 County Road 393, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459 (850) 267-0759. Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY PREBLE-RISH.

Bids will be received Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:00am (CST), at the City of DeFuniak Springs City Hall, 71 US Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, and will be opened and read aloud. All Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Sealed Bid – City of DeFuniak Springs – Hugh Adams Rd. Drainage Improvements”. A Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of Bid shall accompany Bid. The City of DeFuniak Springs reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The City also reserves the right to reject contractors who in the City’s opinion are not qualified to perform the work. All Bids shall be firm for a period of 90 days after opening. Seven Palms at Inlet Beach – Project number 15-00100159 is being reviewed by Tim Brown.  This is a major development order application submitted by Core Engineering & Consulting, Inc., requesting approval for the development of 5 single family lots on 1.26 acres with a future land use of Neighborhood Infill.  The project is located at 160 Pompano Street and is identified by parcel number(s) 36-3S-18-16100-000-1410.

Gulf Place PUD Amendment – Project number 16-001-00055 is being reviewed by Mac Carpenter. This is a major development order application submitted by Jenkins Engineering, Inc. requesting the approval amend the Gulf Place PUD to convert 50 hotel unit entitlements to 30 multifamily condominium units on 2.2 acres with a future land use of Village Mixed Use. Gulf Place Lots 19 & 20 Condo Layout – Project number 16-00100071 is being reviewed by Mac Carpenter. This is a major development order application submitted by Jenkins Engineering, Inc. requesting the approval to construct commercial spaces of +/- 25,500 square feet, to include 70 multifamily condo/townhome units and a 2,500 square foot retail space on approximately 2.2 acres with a future land use of Village Mixed Use. Walton County CR 395/30A Abandonment – Project number 14-00800001 is being reviewed by Mac Carpenter.  This is a petition for abandonment application submitted by Walton County, consisting 0.138 acres of right-of-way, adjacent and contiguous to parcels with a future land use of Residential Preservation.  The project is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of CR 395 and CR30A.

The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners regarding these items either to approve, approve with conditions or to deny.  Any agenda item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Planning Commission meeting and will not go forward to the Board of County Commissioners until the Planning Commission makes a recommendation.
