2016 Beach Vendor Post Season Meeting

You are hereby notified that the Walton County Tourist Development Council Beach Operations staff will hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the South Walton Annex located at 31 Coastal Center Blvd. Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the 2016 Beach vending season and general beach vending issues.

The Department gives notice of a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 31 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Panama City Beach City Hall located at 110 S. Arnold Road (southwest intersection of Highway 98 and State Road 79), Panama City Beach.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comments regarding the implementation of the Ecosystem Management Agreement (EMA) between the Department and the St. Joe Company for portions of Bay and Walton counties.  The agreement, implemented on October 2004, authorized dredging and filling in waters of the state, establishment of two mitigation banks and construction and maintenance of stormwater facilities associated with residential, commercial, recreational and institutional projects including compliance with state water quality standards. Construction Management at Risk

Pursuant to Sections 1013.45(1)(c), 255.055, 287.055, Florida Statutes, Educational Facilities Contracting and Construction Techniques, State of Florida’s Consultants’ Competitive Negotiations Act, and State Requirements for Educational Facilities 2014, the Walton County School District, is soliciting responses from qualified firms to provide Construction Management at Risk (CM at Risk) professional services for:

The scope of work will include pre-construction, design input and construction services for the project. DAG Architects is the design lead firm for the project.  Property is located in southeast section of Walton County.

A person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, for CATEGORY TWO, for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.

Contractors are subject to the provisions of the Jessica Lunsford Act (F.S.1012.465) – Background screening requirements for certain non instructional school district employees and contractors. Non instructional school district employees or contractual personnel who are permitted access on school grounds when students are present, who have direct contact with students or who have access to or control of school funds must meet level 2 screening requirements as described in s. 1012.32. Contractual personnel shall include any vendor, individual, or entity under contract with a school or the school board.
