TWO INJURED IN CR-390A ACCIDENT
Two motorists were injured in an accident that took place early on the morning of May 10 on CR-30A, south of U.S. 98. Florida Highway patrol (FHP) investigator Tpr. C.L. Alexander reported that a vehicle was traveling north on CR-30A, with two occupants: driver Lisa F. Bonazza, 18, of Santa Rosa Beach, and passenger Kaeli E. Fischer, 18, of DeFuniak Springs. Fischer reportedly told Alexander that the vehicle was traveling too fast to handle a curve and left the road, traveling onto the shoulder and into a ditch, overturning 1 1/2 times. No other vehicles were involved.
Both were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital, Bonazza with serious injuries and Fischer with minor injuries. The FHP report states that both were wearing seatbelts,. and that an investigation into whether alcohol was a factor is pending.
