Carol Ann Myers, 43, of DeFuniak Springs, won the women’s bodybuilding middleweight championship, the women’s overall championship and took the title of Miss Northwest Florida in April at the NPC Panhandle Showdown in Pensacola.
Myers was one of 102 competitors in her first bodybuilding show. Carol weighed in at 137 pounds (at 5-feet-6 inches) with only 5.5 percent body fat. The 1984 Niceville graduate has two more shows coming up, the NPC Southern USA Classic in mid-May and the NPC Steel World on May 30.
Myers won the SPF Championships in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on October 4 of last year, where she put up some awesome numbers. Weighing in at 146 pounds, she was able to squat 575 pounds, benching 270 pounds and dead-lifting 475 pounds. She totaled out at 1,320 pounds.
The squat ranked her third in Michael Soong’s all-time historical world rankings. Her total is currently ranked No. 12.
Carol Ann has two more shows coming up, the NPC Southern USA Classic on May 16 and NPC Steel World on May 30.
