The Walton County Design Review Board will hold a regular public meeting to hear projects beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the South Walton County Courthouse Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Boulevard, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.  The Board will hear the following items:

1. ELECTRIC CART COMPANY DEVIATION REQUEST – Project number 09-005-00002. This is a scenic corridor deviation application submitted by Electric Cart Company, LLC, requesting outdoor storage of merchandise at an electric car business on .51 acres with a future land use of VMU. The project is at 5480 U.S. 98 West (parcel number(s) 29-2S-20-33000-017-0010).

2. PUBLIX AT SOUTH WALTON DEVIATION REQUEST – Project number 09-001-00015. This is a scenic corridor deviation application submitted by WindCrest Development Group, Inc. 4. BLUZ GRILL& BAR BUILDING SIGN & MASTER SIGNAGE PLAN – Project number 09-001-00013. This is a sign permit application submitted by Trey Ayers, requesting approval for a master signage plan and 2 building signs, one measuring 24” x 184” for a total of 30.8 square feet, and the second measuring 24” x 15’4” for a total of 31 square feet. The Design Review Board will make a recommendation on major developments to the Board of County Commissioners regarding these items either to approve, approve with conditions or to deny.  Any item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Design Review Board meeting and will not go forward to the Planning Commission until the Design Review Board makes a recommendation.

3. HOWELL ABANDONMENT – Project number 07-008-00003. This is an abandonment application submitted by William Howell, requesting the abandonment of the south 13 feet of the 33-foot access right of way extending 50 feet along the northern portion of parcel number 36-3S-18-16100-000-1312. The site is located on the south side of Winston Lane, approximately 514 feet south of Walton Rose Lane.

4. MACK BAYOU OFFICE BUILDING – Project number 09-001-00012. This is a major development order application submitted by Jenkins Engineering, Inc., consisting of re-development of an existing structure on .517 acres with a future land use of NPA/infill. The site is on Mack Bayou Road, approximately .8 mile north of U.S. 98 (parcel number 25-2S-21-42350-000-0120).

5. BOYS & GIRLS CLUB MASTER PLAN – Project number 09-001-00002. This is a major development order application submitted by Jenkins Engineering, consisting of a master plan from the Developers Agreement between the Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast and Walton County. The first phase includes two (2) buildings totaling 55,000 square feet for civic and recreational purposes, with office spaces included. The second phase includes three (3) soccer fields. The development site is on 32.02 acres with a future land use of Town Center 1. The site is located directly adjacent to the South Walton Coastal Branch Library, approximately 500 yards northwest of the South Walton Courthouse Annex (parcel numbers 30-2S-19-24000-019-0000 and 30-2S-19-24000-020-0000).

The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners regarding these items either to approve, approve with conditions or to deny.  Any agenda item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Planning Commission meeting and will not go forward to the Board of County Commissioners until the Planning Commission makes a recommendation.
