HERMAN WALKER CASE CONTINUED

Mar 13th, 2009 | 0

By JEFFREY POWELL

An additional citation of careless driving has been added in the case of former Walton County Commissioner Herman Walker. Walker was set to be in court on March 9, but the case was continued until April 22, due to the new citation, according to criminal court manager Linda Warren. The additional time allows defense lawyers to prepare their case.
Walker also faces citations for passing on a curve, exceeding maximum weight of a vehicle, expired permit with defective equipment, brakes out of adjustment and no periodic inspection.
All charges stem from a July 2008 traffic accident that claimed the life of Eric Buharp. Buharp’s wife, two sons and family friend Katie Johnson were also injured in the mishap. Judge David Green will hear the case.
