COMMISSION CHAIR Sara Comander, joined by Commissioner Scott Brannon, other commissioners and county leaders, cut the ribbon to officially open Morrison Springs. Morrison Springs has been a nationally-recognized and popular diving location for decades just outside the small town of Ponce de Leon, but just inside the Walton County boundary line. The state acquired Morrison Springs from private owners just over two years ago, and Walton County is managing the property in cooperation with the state. Construction of the $1.3 million park project started in January. (Photo by Christopher Mitchell, WCPIO)
