Stonegate-LSA – Project number 13-00700003 is being reviewed by Tim Brown. This is a large scale amendment application submitted by W. The Department announces receipt of an application for a Joint Coastal Permit (File No. 0326932-001-JC and 002-BV), pursuant to Chapter 161 and Part IV of Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, and for authorization to use sovereign submerged lands, pursuant to Chapter 253, Florida Statutes. The applicant is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the proposed activity is to place approximately 3,756,240 cubic yards of beach compatible material on the beach and dune system within five reaches of Walton County that covers 18.8 miles of shoreline. Placement material will come from an offshore borrow area five miles offshore western Walton County.

 

Copies of the application may be examined during normal working hours at the Department of Environmental Protection, Beaches, Inlets and Ports Program, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Mail Station 3544, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399. The application has also been posted on the Department’s Internet Web site at:

The City of DeFuniak Springs will be accepting sealed bids for the replacement of the halogen lighting system on the City’s Water Tank Tower.  This lighting system is designed to illuminate the tank face text which displays “Historic DeFuniak Springs”.

 

Bids will be accepted at City Hall located at 71 U.S. Hwy. 90 West, P.O. Box 685, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 until 2:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, August 13, 2014.   Bids will be opened in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 71 U.S. Hwy 90 West, DeFuniak Springs, FL at the above time and date.  Bids shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, “Sealed Bid – Water Tower Lighting.”  Any bids received after 2:00 p.m. CST on the above date will not be accepted and will be returned unopened to the bidder.

DISTANCE OF A CHURCH OR SCHOOL, OF THE DEFUNIAK SPRINGS MUNICIPAL    CODE,   ADOPTING CODES   BY    REFERENCE,   AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available at the City Hall for inspection and all interested persons may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
