THESE MARKERS ARE DEDICATED to both the fallen and survivors of both parties, who took part in a battle in 1813 at Fort Mims, Alabama. Today Fort Mims is a five-acre state historic site consisting of a partially rebuilt stockade, with many informative markers. (Photo by Jeffrey Powell)
