The Walton County Code Enforcement Board will hold their regular meeting on November 20, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m. to be held at the Coastal Branch Library.

In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board or commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision, which has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken receives, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physically handicapped person to attend the meeting, directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or reschedule the meeting to a site which would be accessible to such person.

The Walton County Planning and Development Services staff will hold two public workshops to discuss the following ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE WALTON COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO ESTABLISH HEIGHT LIMITS THROUGHOUT WALTON COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The meetings will be open to the public and the Walton County Board of County Commissioners are invited to attend.

The first meeting will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Choctaw Beach Community Center, 126 Water Oak Street, Choctaw Beach, Florida.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Walton County Technical Review Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 8:30 am at the South Walton Courthouse Annex in Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. The following items are scheduled for review and action:

1. SEABREEZE VILLAS – Project number 08-001-00019. This is a major development order application submitted by Connelly & Wicker, Inc., consisting of 4 townhome buildings with a total of 14 units, and a pool on 1.64 acres with a future land use of NPA/RP. The site is located at the northwest corner of Seabreeze Trail and Seabreeze Boulevard, just north of C.R. 30A (parcel number 28-3S-18-16141-00A-0580).

2. WOODLAND DOWNS – Project number 08-001-00057. This is a major development order application submitted by Shanklin Estate Enterprises, LLC, consisting of 377 single family lots on 377.73 acres with a future land use of rural low density. The site is on Hwy 280 in Defuniak Springs (parcel numbers 06-2N-09000-001-0010, 06-2N-18-09000-001-0000, and 05-2N-18-09000-002-0000).

3. VILLAGE OF BAYTOWNE WHARF EVENTS PLAZA AREA – Project number 08-013-00027. This is a less-than-minor development order application submitted by Intrawest Sandestin Co. LLC, requesting approval to allocate 3,000 square feet of previously approved commercial area to annual temporary activities to be held in the Village of Baytowne Wharf Events Plaza. The site is on the interior of the Village of Baytowne Wharf on Baytowne Avenue, on the north side of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort (parcel number 26-2S-21-42000-001-0000).

In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board of commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision, which has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken receives, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physically handicapped person to attend the meeting directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or reschedule the meeting to a site which would be accessible to such person.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Walton County Zoning Board of Adjustments will hold their regular public hearing on November 20, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at the South Walton Courthouse Annex in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. The following items are scheduled for review and action:

1. TRANQUILITY ON THE BEACH PETITION FOR VARIANCE – Project number 08-005-00008. This is a petition submitted by Rebecca Drube on behalf of the Tranquility on the Beach Owners Association, for a variance from the Walton County Land Development Code, section 13.02.00 (H), which limits the height of a fence located within the front yard setback to 4 feet, to allow an existing 6-foot security fence to remain. The site is at 8600 East C.R. 30A (parcel number 27-3S-18-16600-000-00A0).

The Zoning Board of Adjustments will make a final determination to grant a variance, deny a variance, uphold the director’s decision, overturn the director’s decision, or continue to a later date. Any agenda item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Zoning Board of Adjustments meeting. The applicant/petitioner may appeal the decision of this board to the Circuit Court of Walton County.

7. TOWN CENTER AT BLACK CREEK PUD AMENDMENT – Project number 08-001-00052. This is a major development order application submitted by P & B Management requesting conceptual approval of a mixed-use development consisting of 658 single family lots, 12 multi family units, and 265,000 square feet of commercial space on 1,051.66 acres with a future land use of NBNPA/rural town center and large scale agricultural.
