The Walton County Code Enforcement Board will hold their regular meeting on March 15, 2012 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  to be held at the South Walton Courthouse Annex.

In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board or commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision, which has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken receives, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physicallly handicapped person to attend the meeting, directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or reschedule the meeting to a site, which would be accessible to such person.

To be considered, entity must have extensive knowledge regarding established Cathodic Protection engineering practices, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49 Part 192 Subpart I, Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Ch 25-12, and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) corrosion prevention and control standards.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, shall hold a Public Hearing and Second Reading of the Ordinance at the meeting scheduled for March 26, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at the City Hall in DeFuniak Springs, Florida,

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE DEFUNIAK SPRINGS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS GOVERNING EXPEDITED REVIEW AND PERMITTING FOR MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to provide expedited review and permitting of development projects that substantially contributes to the economy of DeFuniak Springs through the creation of jobs. The expedited review and permitting process is intended to be an incentive available to developers of all major development projects.

A Public Hearing encourages the public to provide written and/or verbal comments on the above matter under consideration.  All interested persons may appear at the scheduled meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed request.  Any person who decides to appeal any decision of the City Council with respect to the matter considered at this meeting will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
