The Walton County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard at the Walton County Courthouse, South Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  The following items will be heard:

NATUREWALK AT SEAGROVE PUD AMENDMENT – Project Number 11-00100018 being reviewed by Melissa Ward. This is a major development application, submitted by Hatch Mott MacDonald, to amend the planned unit development of NatureWalk at Seagrove requesting a 3’ porch encroachment zone for the Cottage Lots (both types 1 and 2) and requesting a 2’ (24”) overhang into the side yard setback from a minimum 18” above ground level up.  The project consists of 153 +/- acres, with a future land use of Traditional Neighborhood Development Area.  The site is located off CR 395, just north of the WaterColor Publix site, more particularly identified as parcel identification number 14-3S-19-25000-001-000.

BULLETS & BONES SPORTSMAN CLUB – Project number 11-00100017 being reviewed by Mac Carpenter.  This is a major development order application submitted by Scott McKinney and Brandon Keene consisting of 7,395 square feet of floor area and a shooting range on 31.92 +/- acres with a future land use of Industrial.  The project is located at 132 Goodwin Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida and identified by parcel number(s) 29-3N-18-10000-037-0000.

DAUGETTE DOCKS – Project number 11-001-00007 being reviewed by Mac Carpenter.  This is a major development application submitted by Tom Stein requesting approval for docking facility to include 5’ access and 22 boat slips to be constructed in phases and seven non-residential lots, all totaling 14,212 square feet of non-residential development on 1.86 acres, with a future land use designation of Residential Preservation.  The site is located between Ricker Avenue and County Road 283 north, more particularly identified as parcel identification number 28-2S-19-24050-005-0010, 28-2S-19-24050-004-0010, 28-2S-19-24050-004-0020, 28-2S-19-24050-004-0030, 28-2S-19-24050-004-0040, and 28-2S-19-24050-004-00

WALTON COUNTY SLERS PROJECT, PEACHCREEK LOCATION – Project number 11-001-00027 being reviewed by Melissa Ward.  This is a major development order application submitted by Walton County Sheriff’s Office consisting of the installation of a 300’ Public Safety Communication Self-Support Tower on 10 +/ acres with a future land use designation of Public Facilities.  The project is located south of US Highway 98, approximately 1,000 feet, on parcel number 01-3S-19-25000-007-0010 and 02-3S-19-25000-002-0000.

WALTON COUNTY SLERS PROJECT, GASKIN LOCATION – Project number 11-001-00028 being reviewed by Melissa Ward.  This is a major development order application submitted by Walton County Sheriff’s Office consisting of the installation of a 320’ Public Safety Communication Guyed Tower on 40 +/ acres with a future land use designation of Public Facilities.  The project is located on the north side of Florida Highway 2, on parcel number 30-5N-19-21000-005-0010.

SSA 11-05 – Camella Dalee is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 1.08 +/- acres in Walton County south of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel number 24-3S-19-25120-000-0220, from Residential Preservation to Low Density Residential. The property is located in the southeast corner of Hinton-Bishop Dr and Hinton Dr, approximately 1.16 miles east of the intersection of Walton County 30-A and Walton County 395.

SSA 11-12 – George B Juneman is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 9.98 +/- acres in Walton County south of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel number 28-2S-20-33220-000-0220, from Conservation Residential 2:1 Future Land Use Category to Low Density Residential Future Land Use Category, or a lesser intense category.  The property is located on the east side of Mussett Bayou Road, approximately 1,837 feet north of US Highway 98.
