RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR MOSSY HEAD SCHOOL
THE RIBBON-CUTTING ceremony overflowed with excited parents and students at Mossy Head School on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008.
The open house was a huge success at the new school, which took almost two years to complete. The new campus will host 500-600 students and boast three large wings for pre-K through fifth grade.
As the school board members gathered to cut the ribbon, Superintendent Carlene Anderson, Principal Renita Hinote, and Supervisor of Administration and Operations Wayne Miller spoke about the significance of the school to the Mossy Head community. “This school is going to give your children the opportunity for an education, and the responsibility lies with the parents, the teachers, and the students,” Miller said.
