Mack Bayou and Gulfview Heights Pedestrian Paths consists of the installation of approximately 1.6 miles of an 8 foot wide bicycle/pedestrian path located along Mack Bayou Road near the Topsail Hill State Preserve and approximately 1,000 linear feet of an 8 foot wide bicycle/pedestrian path located along Gulfview Heights Street in the Santa Rosa Beach area of south Walton County. The paths shall consist of 2.0 inches of SP 9.5 asphalt with a 6 inch limerock base. The existing drainage ditch will be reworked along the path where applicable. Dirt/gravel driveways along the path on Mack Bayou Road as well as portions of Buddy Street and Betty Street will be stabilized with a inch limerock base and 2.0 inches of SP 9.5 asphalt. All disturbed areas along the proposed path shall be sodded. Any existing water meters, water valves, sewer manholes, or gas valves that are in the proposed path will need to be lowered/raised to match the proposed pavement. Any fire hydrants or power poles that are located in the proposed path will need to be relocated.

*All bidders/proposers must be present at the designated start time of any pre-bid conference and must remain until the conference is adjourned. The County will not accept bids/proposals from any bidder/proposer arriving after the designated start time as listed in the Invitation to Bids or Request Proposal or departing prior to the adjournment of the pre-bid conference.*

Notice is hereby given that Walton County has received a request from Seascape Resorts, Inc. for a Notice of Proposed Change (“NOPC”) to its Development of Regional Impact (“DRI”) Development Order, which is Ordinance No. 84-12 dated October 30, 1984. That ordinance was amended by Walton County Resolution No. 97-1 which was approved January 8, 1991, Walton County Resolution No. 98-24 which was approved December 22, 1998, Walton County Resolution No. 2000-24 which was approved August 8, 2000. The NOPC seeks a determination that, among other things, a proposed change in buildout does not constitute a substantial deviation from the original DRI and Ordinance, as amended.

This development is located within Walton County in Section 29, Township 2 South, Range 21 West.

Section 380.06(19)(b) Florida Statutes provides criteria to measure whether a proposed change to a DRI Development Order is a substantial deviation subject to further development of regional impact review. This is a major development order application submitted by Chris Fountain, consisting of a Master Plan and Phase I approval for a 25,000 square foot building expansion on 14.33 acres with a future land use of industrial. 4. SEASCAPE TOWN CENTER – Project number 08-001-00043. This is a minor development order application submitted by Wilson Miller, Inc. consisting of 43,692 square feet of commercial/retail/restaurant on 8.43 acres with a future land use of coastal center. This project is a phase of the Seascape Development of Regional Impact. Project is on the south side of U.S. 98, 4,400 feet east of Holiday Road (parcel number 29-2S-21-42500-000-0000).

5. ASSISI VILLAS AMENDMENT TO CONCEPTUAL PUD – Project number 08-001-00046. This is a minor development order application submitted by Darrell Barnhill, requesting an amendment to the previously approved conceptual PUD. The application seeks to increase the approved density from 10 units to 48 units, including 12 units of workforce housing. The amendment to the conceptual PUD is contingent upon the approval of a small scale future land use map amendment changing the land use from conservation residential 2:1 to small neighborhood. The site is 5.07 acres and is on the east side of Thompson Road, approximately 1,500 feet south of U.S. 98 (parcel numbers 34-2S-20-33270-060-0001 and 34-2S-20-33270-060-0002).

The Walton County Design Review Board will hold a regular public meeting to hear projects beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the South Walton County Courthouse Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Boulevard, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.  The Board will hear the following items:
