METH LAB, MARIJUANA DISCOVERED NEAR DEFUNIAK SPRINGS
An early morning search warrant served at a mobile home northwest of DeFuniak Springs resulted in the arrest of the occupant on a host of felony related drug charges.
Walton County Sheriff’s investigators found a meth lab along with the chemicals used in the manufacture of the highly addictive narcotic inside the home at 413 Martin Road residence. In addition, that’s where they found an undisclosed amount of marijuana.
Several six-foot tall marijuana plants were growing in a wooded area behind the home. Sheriff’s investigators placed Peter Lee Cotton under arrest. Cotton, 44, faces several charges including cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of listed chemicals. Authorities say additional charges are expected as well.
