FOR THE south Walton County community of Blue Mountain Beach, neighborhood planning efforts are underway. On July 28, county commissioners opted to move forward with public hearings on a plan known as the “hybrid” Blue Mountain Beach neighborhood plan, the result of mediation efforts to combine BMB-2, a plan addressing the community as a whole, with BMB-1, one put forth by a group of 23 beachfront homeowners that would have been limited to their property only.
