WALTON COUNTY SHERIFF (WCSO) Michael A. Adkinson Jr. announced that three new K-9 teams are now certified and on the street searching for illegal drugs. “We look forward to working with other local, state and federal agencies to fight the war on drugs. I am especially proud of the dedication and the attitude of our canine handlers and their partners. They all have worked so hard over the last two months, and I’m sure their dedication will pay off in our crime fighting efforts,” said Lt. Mike Howell, who served as the lead training officer for the teams. The “Top Dogs” are (l-r), Deputy Chad Biernacki, Deputy Nick Bearden with Lee, Deputy Steve Key with Ella, Lt. Mike Howell, and Deputy Matt Key with Boomer.
